|Meningitis B Vaccination|
The Scottish Government has announced that all infants in Scotland will be offered the Meningococcal B (MenB) through the NHS as part of the routine childhood immunisation programmed from 1st September 2015.

As part of this vaccination it is important to control fever in the child afterwards. This is done by giving the child a dose of paracetamol just before vaccination followed by two doses at regular intervals.
Parents of children are asked to attend the pharmacy before the vaccination is given to collect a free paracetamol suspension prescription to be used to manage any post-vaccination fever.
